Description
The Warchal Karneol viola strings produce well-balanced, velvety tones, giving warmth and texture to your sound. They have a synthetic core, and normally require three days to achieve tuning stability and optimum tone quality.
Metal core as well as synthetic core A strings are available. The sound of the synthetic A string matches the set perfectly. However aluminum or hydronalium wound A strings are less durable than those with a metal core, so players are given a choice.
Available with vibrating string lengths of 14-15″ (36-38cm), or 15-15.75″ (38-40cm). This length is the distance along the string from the bridge to the nut. A 14-15″ vibrating string length will generally fit a 15-15.5″ viola, while a 15-15.75″ vibrating string length is better for a 16″ or larger viola. Measuring your particular instrument is the best way to determine which size is appropriate.
